FAQS

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?

I am considered an "out-of-network" provider for all insurance. This means that you pay the full amount at the time of service and may then submit a claim to your insurer. The insurer will then send you a percentage of this fee directly. Depending on the insurance, the percentage can vary. Also, with telemedicine, the coverage can vary as well or may not be covered.

HOW DO I FILE OUT-OF-NETWORK CLAIMS?

You can call your insurer or look on their website to find out how out-of-network claims are processed. I will provide you with an invoice that you submit along with any other paperwork required by your insurance.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Currently I accept credit cards at the time of service and checks. I do require a credit card on file for every client as a backup form of payment.

WHAT IS THE "NO SURPRISES ACT"?

The No Surprises Act which began on January 1, 2022 requires psychiatrists and other health care providers to give Good Faith Estimates (GFEs) to new and established patients who are uninsured or those who are insured, but do not plan on using their insurance to submit claims. A GFE is the total expected cost of services non-emergency items or services.
